Overview
We partnered with Sensay to build the search experience behind its AI persona platform. As the library of chatbots grew from a handful to dozens of experts, celebrities, and historical figures, we designed and built the backend and interface that let users find the right one instantly.
The challenge
Sensay’s persona library was growing fast, but finding the right one wasn’t. Users had to scroll through long lists instead of searching by name, topic, or expertise — and every new persona made that list harder to browse.

Semantic search over persona profiles, so users can search by topic or intent, not just exact name
Results ranked by relevance in real time as the persona library keeps growing
Python and PostgreSQL (pgvector) backend built to handle vector search at scale
Fast, lightweight search UI integrated directly into the existing Sensay chat flow
